Plantar Fasciitis and Foot Pain

Plantar Fasciitis and foot pain are most commonly caused by a strain or overuse of the connective tissue that runs across the bottom of the foot. This band of connective tissue is known as the Plantar Fascia, hence Plantar Fasciitis is a painful inflammation of the Plantar Fascia tissue. It’s is most associated with overuse injury due to running, hiking, backpacking or even walking. Tight achilles tendons can also be a contributing factor. Through inserting needles in the effected area to reduce pain and inflammation, Acupuncture can successfully treat most common foot, toe and Plantar Fasciitis pain. Most cases of Plantar Fasciitis can be resolved with a series of 5-10 acupuncture sessions.
